Dizzy and John kindly invited us to have our second choir garden party in their garden at Ruddington, and an enjoyable event it was!
The weather was sunny and mild, and warm enough to sit out in a lovely sheltered garden with views of fields and trees. Dizzy and John organised everything well, with the help of committee members. The food was delicious, with barbequed burgers and sausages(including veggie burgers) and lots of salads. Thanks to John and Jonathan, who happen to be two of our wonderful tenors, for slaving over a hot barbeque to keep everyone well fed throughout the afternoon. Roy’s wife Jenny was selling her own hand made greetings cards made from pressed flowers – all in rich colours.
It was a really good turnout and we seem to be setting up a new annual event! We all enjoyed meeting up with each other during the long summer break. Thank you to Dizzy and John and those on the committee who helped make it happen.
