At the end of February a group of us went to the Nottingham Girls’ High School Theatre, ‘The Space’ – in itself extremely impressive! to watch a most enjoyable production of ‘Calamity Jane’, performed by members of the West Bridgford Operatic Society.
For many years this society specialised in Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, but more recently the scope of its productions has widened enormously, and many different shows have been produced. The singing and acting of so many cast members were superb, and the enthusiasm of the participants was very evident. It was a most enjoyable evening!
This was the second production our group has seen, the first being ‘Top Hat’ at the Theatre Royal. I am currently researching future performances which we might like to attend, and everybody is welcome to join us.

Please consider our next outing! Further details to follow! Karen C.
